Hi! I’m Gaston, a 33-year-old software developer from Argentina with a passion for history.
I have been working as a programmer for over 8 years, but history has always been my true escape. When I read about the past, I don’t just learn facts — I time-travel. I feel like I’m actually living the stories I read, walking the same streets, facing the same challenges as the people who shaped our world. That feeling is something I can’t explain, but once I found it, I couldn’t stop.
For years I was looking for something meaningful to read, a real hobby that would challenge and inspire me. When I discovered history, I found exactly that. Every story I learn makes me want to dig deeper. Every answer leads to ten new questions. I don’t think I’ll ever stop.
This blog is also part of another journey: learning English. Writing, recording my voice, and publishing in a second language pushes me to grow in ways I never expected. English has opened doors for me — new people, new cultures, new ways of understanding the world.
So here I am: an Argentine developer, a history enthusiast, and an English learner — writing about the past with an accent, one story at a time.
Every post ends with an open question. Because history isn’t just about what happened. It’s about what it means for us today.
Welcome to History With an Accent. 🎙️🇦🇷
